These blooms somehow last longer than most other branches and I am so happy with them.
Stupid silly me, I sold my one large pastelly pink vase at the recent garage sale so I had to go get myself another large vase. I got one for $5 at the local St Vinnies store which did the job but looked completely ICKY.
But today I had to pick up a wigwam for my daughter from Bed, Bath and Table here and found they had 15% off storewide! So I happily paid less for my wigwam than RRP and picked myself an early birthday present, a glass Fringe USA vase.

Aren't these absolutely gorgeous?? These are my favourites.
I first fell in love with them via Ruby and Rose Interiors' online store a year ago, but due to their prices I couldn't afford them (not to mention shipping for such a heavy item!). The beautiful pieces of glassware are fired at 180˚C with a thin layer of lacquer applied over the decals to protect them.
This is my new vase, the Walnut Bird.

And this is it in-situ:
My vase! (Rubber bands are to prevent ants from getting there.
Makes me so happy and it invites Spring 2011 in! :)

Bit negative! They charge the RRP and don't charge the full amount for postage! She's a good sort you shouldn't rubbish people and their stores.
Have a good look at your vase! It isn't a walnut bird one at all! Perhaps that is why yours was cheaper!
Yes I jusg realised that. Oh well. It's Fringe USA-esque. But I have to say I wasn't at all negative about Ruby and Rose's store or her at all. I can't afford the prices of these gorgeous things and I just live too far to be able to pick the item up; I can't afford the shipping!
I'm sorry I offended you.
One day I'll own one of the real pieces...
How is it "rubbishing someone to say that you love their products, but that they happen to be out of your price range? How about "Don't visit someone's blog just to have a whinge"?
The vase looks lovely there, Drey. I haven't heard of the rubber band trick before. Is it very effective?
Hi Sred, good to hear from you again :)
Thanks for my defense. I wasn't at all being negative! In fact I'd love to be living near enough to be able to buy something from the store without the shipping costs!
Yes it is. I had another vase in that spot and forgot to add the rubber band and it was crawling with ants.
But in the glass vase, no ants! :) I've used that rubber band thing for a number of years with much success! :)
I love it!! Those vases are amazing. The cherry blossoms are also amazing! P.S. You are not a rude person. Hell, I can't afford half the things I want. I shop at IKEA and thrift shops. :)
thanks jessie, i love these vases. i wish i could afford the real deal. i shop at thrift stores so often too!!!
good to hear from you honey! where are you now? have you moved again??
I love your new vase and you've showed some wonderful examples. You did a fantastic job!!
Some time ago I read the blog sporadically, but the last articles I’ve read have been really good, congratulations! I hope that the following are equally as good. If so, here’s a visitor for sure:)
