tweety

i want a bird pet.

next door they have rabbits. having pets that don't talk, don't play and don't behave pet-ly, not making much sense to me atm. and after having hand-delivered 10 rabbit babies myself, i'd rather see them in the pet shop window.

but birds. apparently you can toilet train them... but Emerald, Andrew's parents' very intelligent Northern Territory Hooded Parrot, has not learnt to release in one designated spot... but then again, she rules the roost there.

i'd like a small parrot too.

or a cockatiel.

cravings

i have been craving pomelo for a while but where on earth can one find a native malaysian fruit here?? still. desmund found them in footscray and this past weekend, i braved the car ride there.

i had pomelo on sunday night for my birthday!!!! granted, this one was typical of un-native fruits grown here, looked beautiful, but was all skin and little flesh. still... was so enjoyable.

but then of course comes the yuck part, the wash your mouth out bit. for some reason, pomelo and water don't jell. turns the whole experience into a bittttttteeeeerrrrr one!

anyone know the trick to it??
