Updated: Stacy is a boy's name too!

shots from our one year anniversary weekend away...

we went three hours north to a coastal small town called Lemon Tree Passage, half an hour away from Nelson Bay, a gorgeous area of beaches, whales, dolphins and bays. we stayed at a small B&B, lovely people etc, but check out my shots with our new Nikon!

pelicans are one of my favourite birds... check out the pelican perched on top of the light! pelicans love the tops of streetlights and will sit on them for hours on end. i love that sight.

we were walking along a beach just before driving home... and there were two pelicans on the strip of grass near the beach. we walked slowly towards them and then i walked towards them alone with my camera ready. they were so unfaxed it was so cool! I was about 5 feet from the nearest, the one pictured here.

the other nearby pelican.

Australians race cockroaches, grasshoppers, cane toads.... here's another one!!! except... they move sideways!!!!!!!!!!!!! *laughs and laughs*

Note: oysters aren't supposed to be eaten deep fried. blech. raw is best, mornay is second and kilpatrick is SALTY!

how to... (guide on staying sane)

... get rid of ants: Smear a mix of citronella oil and tea tree oil where they are coming in (even around the edges of my food cupboard doors). They dislike the citronella and the tea tree is an insecticide.

... get rid of gum: Peanut butter dissolves gum.

... yeah.
